MarketFresh Food Testing Laboratory is an independent food microbiology testing laboratory providing microbiological services to the food industry, including food processors, commissaries, grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, bakeries and any institution where food is handled or prepared.
MarketFresh is owned and directed by Dr. Alison Larsson who holds a Ph.D. in Food Science and Microbiology. Dr. Larsson brings to MarketFresh over 16 years with food processors and retailers. She also has extensive experience in both food and medical microbiology research and has authored and coauthored several publications and presentations in these fields.
MarketFresh was started to provide the food industry with a consultative approach to food testing. Too often, results are being stored away without any clear understanding of how to interpret the results and to use them to improve operations because there is no support from the laboratory. At MarketFresh, it is our goal to ensure that our clients understand their results in order to ultimately produce clean and safe product. Dr. Larsson makes herself available to clients to help facilitate this process - answering questions about testing, results, general concerns as well as questions/discussions about operations and how to interpret results to make improvements. In addition, lab staff is carefully chosen to ensure best quality results. They are educated in the field of food science and food microbiology and are fully trained to be compliant with ISO 17025 Standards.
